Scarlet's Green World - green semi abstract landscape with red bird Women's Tank Top

30 x 30 x 1.5 inches original oil painting of a red cardinal bird against a green forest and lake. The greens shimmer and allow a glimpse at the lake behind. The sky has a touch of pink which hints at a summer sunrise. The red cardinal bird (the inspiration for the angry birds game) flies across the sea of green trees unable to hide but not really minding too much. I rarely use much green in my paintings so decided to remedy this by painting a green painting. I could not resist placing some red in it to complement it though. I really like to make universes like this and then decide what creature gets to live in it. :-) Painted on deep edge canvas - edges white, no frame needed.

I am a professional artist based in Sussex and I paint large original landscape and seascape paintings in oil on canvas. I have a Fine Art degree in sculpture (Brighton, 1983) but am mostly self taught as a painter. My painting style is a fusion of Expressionist, Impressionist, Semi-abstract, Art Deco, a little Art Nouveau and whatever mood I am in that day. I often practice a kind of Impressionism in that I walk, look at things and then paint from memory. The result is that I paint what was impressed upon me when I looked at a landscape - thus a kind of Impressionism! (I hope that makes sense).
